Philips SMART Pads II are for the Philips HeartStart FRx AED. These pads can be used on adults, children and infants to eliminate the expense of having to purchase different pads sets for different patient types. They're packaged in a plastic case, which fits into the FRx semi-rigid carry case and are equipped with a HeartStart-compatible plug for easy hand-off to Philips ALS defibrillators and to competitive defibrillators with adapters.
Like other AED pads, SMART Pads II are one-time use and disposable. Order an extra set to keep your FRx AED ready for action and make sure you keep an eye on the expiration date printed on each electrode pad set.
Philips AED pads must be replaced after use or once every 2 years regardless of use. An expiration date is marked on the front of the pads cartridge.
