Philips HeartStart Adult SMART Pads Cartridge is the replacement or spare pads for the Philips HeartStart Onsite, Home or HS1 series defibrillators. These pads have a built-in pull handle. Just snap this new electrode pad cartridge into the Philips HeartStart OnSite, Home, or HS1 AED. The cartridge contains two adhesive pads that are peeled and placed on the patient's bare skin as indicated by the pictures on the pads.
The pads are "smart" because they can sense that they have been removed from the cartridge and applied to the patient. The Philips M5071A HeartStart Adult SMART Pads Cartridge should be replaced every 2 years.
